Features of the CRM 2011 DiagTool that is available:
- Open trace directory (avoid browsing the file system)
- Zip trace files
- Clean trace directory (clean only files that are not locked by CRM services)

Enable/Disable tracing
To start the Trace follow you can follow the steps
- Go to the location of the CRM 2011 diag tool (Path where you downloaded it to) then run the CRM diag tool in crm server
- Note: You can download the tool from here: http://crmdiagtool2011.codeplex.com/
- To start the Trace click on the “Enable trace” button
- Trigger your error in CRM then open up the tool again and click on the “Disable trace” button to disable the trace.
- To locate the trace files you can go to the path you specified in the tool. eg. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\Trace
- When you are finished doing the trace you can also download a freeware tool to analyse the trace log files.
